This example demonstrates bi-directional messaging between heterogeneous (Flash and AJAX) clients and WebORB Message Server. The server performs additional processing to geolocate chat users, injects necessary information in messages so users can plotted on the map.
Type your message in the text field below and press Enter or click Send to broadcast the message to the channel. To share your map with a user, select the user in the list and click the 'Share Map' button. The user has to accept map sharing and you will be notified when it happen. Once the map is shared, you pan, zoom and switch map types. All of these actions are immediately replicated with the other user.

Dirk Loss has a list of more than 600 free utilities for Windows that can be burned to a pocket CD-R or a USB Memory Stick. He has compiled a small list of instructions on how to create a bootable CD image to create a rescue disk complete with all these utils!
I started searching the Internet for useful utilities that can be run directly from CD-ROM. These were my requirements:
- Must be available free of charge (at least for non-commercial use). If source code is available under a Free Software/Open Source license, that's even better.
- Small is beautiful
- Graphical user interfaces are nice (this is Windows after all...;-)
- My focus is on diagnostic, network and security tools (no games or MP3 players...)
Here's my list. Download the tools, exctract the archives to a folder on your harddisk and burn them on a CD-ROM. Or put them on your USB-stick. If you leave out all unnecessary files (documentation, language files, etc.) and compress all executables with UPX, all these tools together (more than 600 executables) take less than 100 MB of disk space.

Opinion piece with the 10 reasons why Windows users won't switch to the the Apple Mac. Personally I have no opinion on the subject because I have not used or even played with a Mac since 1980's.
Lately I have been more interested in learning and trying different Linux distributions (distros) as an alternative to Windows. There are many good distros you could try but two Linux distros I can highly recommend with no hesitation are:
1. MEPIS Linux
Good all round, easy to use and setup, general purpose desktop Linux distro.
2. Puppy Linux
Very small but powerful mini distro especially good for older PC's.
